33rd Annual  South Carolina Peanut Party

"Celebrating SC Grown Produce"

The SCPPP has been an annual August event for 33 years. Our local townsfolk, as well as those from the surrounding Lexington County area, look forward to it as entertainment for their families alcohol free, music, food, parade, amusements, crafts, and special exhibits. Lexington County residents have come to trust that we provide a safe & secure place to relax and enjoy the festivities. We hope visitors to this event, including former residents of the town, former High School students, and hundreds of those who have helped build our Town and community, are pleased to see how much Pelion has grown - its businesses, schools and industry. Our promotion of the Boiled Peanut benefits the local peanut farmers and we highlight it as the official SC State Snack Food.

The SC PPP Steering Committee involves local business leaders and community organizations to help make this event happen.  We say Thank-you to these folks: Ruritan's, Pelion Woman's Club, Pelion Schools and the Pelion Community Center.

for the good life
